Verdict Good: After using the Velaasa Strake Olympic Weightlifting Shoes. These shoes deliver solid performance and hold up well. We have tested them almost daily for 9 months through heavy squats, cleans, snatches, and accessory work.

The Good ✅

• Excellent stability — exactly what you expect from a quality Olympic lifting shoe.
• Proper heel elevation that feels just right for both squats and Olympic lifts.
• Outstanding build quality and durability — they still look and perform nearly like new after 9 months of near-daily hard use.
• Comfortable and supportive during long training sessions.

The Not Good ❌

• They run a little small, so you may want to go up a half size if you don’t want them snug. I didn’t size up and I like them a little snug, but this is something to keep in mind.

• Prices have gone up recently, which makes them a bit less of a bargain than before (though still worth it, especially on sale).

• The rubber sole has started to separate slightly from the heel on one shoe. It does not impact the use or performance of the shoe at all, and you could easily glue it back down if desired. Minor issue.
