Finding tactical fitness and range gear that actually works for women is harder than it should be. So much of it is built for bigger frames, or is just a smaller or recolored version of the men’s gear, and plate carriers, belts and ear muffs often don’t fit. That leaves a lot of women buying, returning, or living with gear that never quite works. Every review here comes from Andrea, who is 5’1″ and has trained and competed in this gear, so you’ll know what fit her smaller frame, like the Grey Ghost UGF belt, and what didn’t, like the 5.11 TacTec plate carrier and the Walker’s Razor muffs.
